ZEIS information day on the administrative approach to organised crime and on the GdP legislative proposal on a legal basis for preventive financial investigations.

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Prof. h.c. Arndt Sinn, the Centre for European and International Criminal Law Studies at the University of Osnabrück organised an information day for various authorities and organisations on 10 August 2022. The day focused on the administrative approach to organised crime and the GdP bill on a legal basis for preventive financial investigations.

During the event, Vera Huijgens (Account Manager NL) presented the administrative approach in the Netherlands. Annelore Eichel (Account Manager NRW) reported on the findings and experiences of the cross-border exchange of information over the past 3 years.

As Lower Saxony borders the Netherlands, our aim was to create more awareness of the EURIEC in this state, as well. The participants showed great interest and in the subsequent (lively!) discussion there were numerous contributions and comments.
