‘Include the international aspect when drafting national legislation’ was the message of the fourth EURIEC Sounding Board meeting. This international aspect is relevant because the administrative approach to organised crime only succeeds if we cooperate across borders. It starts with awareness and only works if laws and regulations are changed at the national level to enable cross-border information exchange.
