International barrier model against the exploitation of migrant workers

The EURIEC is proud to present the newly developed international barrier model against the exploitation of migrant workers. This barrier model provides our partners and other interested parties with a clear comparative overview of the competences and regulations in Belgium, the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia on matters affecting the housing and employment of labour migrants. It is a reference work, in which you can easily look up what regulations exist in the three countries and which organisations deal with them.

The model was developed in part to support governments in strengthening the rights and protection of migrant workers. In addition, the barrier model was also created to ensure that migrant workers can live and work under fair conditions. It is the first of its kind that also takes into account international similarities and differences and also proposes cross-border solutions.

The barrier model is available on request by clicking this link. It is available in Dutch, English, French and German.
