The Euregional Information and Expertise Centre is looking for an
Account Manager Netherlands–Germany (1 FTE)The Euregional Information and Expertise Centre supports the cross-border administrative approach to tackling undermining and/or organised crime. We focus on improving cooperation between Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia). EURIEC supports authorities in exchanging administrative information to combat undermining and cross-border crime.
We operate at the intersection of security, governance and international cooperation and help municipalities, provinces and other public organisations to act more effectively against criminal structures exploiting borders.
In recent years, EURIEC has focused on exploring the possibilities of cross-border information exchange within the administrative approach to tackling undermining. Based on concrete cases, EURIEC has gained insight into such exchanges. Attention has also been paid to raising awareness of the role public authorities play or can play in tackling organised crime. These activities will continue in the coming years.
The EURIEC is an organisational part of the RIEC Limburg.
To further develop and expand these activities, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic colleague who will take on the following tasks:
- Building and maintaining a network of relevant partners in the Netherlands and Germany
- Assisting and advising municipalities and other partners in concrete cross-border cases
- Organising and facilitating expert platforms and raising awareness of the international administrative approach
- Engaging in dialogue with relevant legislators to implement improvement proposals for policy and legislation

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, listening skills and persuasive abilities

Where will you work?You will work at EURIEC, which is organisationally part of RIEC Limburg in Maastricht, located at the provincial government building at Limburglaan 10 in Maastricht. You will frequently have appointments along the entire Dutch-German border.

The EURIEC Account Manager vacancy will be published both among participating covenant partners of RIEC Limburg and involved German organisations, as well as non-participating organisations in the Netherlands and Germany.
Candidates from participating partners have priority. Secondment costs will be reimbursed by RIEC. For external candidates, a maximum term of three years currently applies.
